PRIVACY POLICY – COOKIE

The Data Processor: C.B.C. Conservazione Beni Culturali Soc. Coop., uses cookies on its website.

The cookies help us to provide services on this site. The site also uses profiling cookies and third partycookies. If you continue navigating on the site or access any part of this page, you consent to the use of cookies.

What are cookies ?

A cookie is made up of strings of text data that a website visited by the user sends to the user’s terminal (usually to the browser), where they are stored so that they can be retransmitted to the site on the same user’s next visit. The data can also be stored on the computer through an anonymous tag which only identifies the computer but not the user. Some pages of this dominion also use third party cookies and other technologies to improve navigation and to carry out profiling.

Categories of cookies

There are various types of cookies.

Technical cookies

Technical cookies are those used exclusively with a view to “carrying out the transmission of a communication on an electronic communications network, or insofar as this is strictly necessary to the provider of an information society service that has been explicitly requested by the contracting party or user to provide the said service.” (see Section 122(1) of the Italian Personal Data Protection Code (Legislative decree No. 196 of 30 June 2003)). They are not used for further purposes and are usually installed directly by the data controller or the website manager of this site.

These cookies can be grouped into:
– browsing or session cookies, which allow normal navigation and use of a website (e.g. to purchase items online or user authentication to access restricted areas of the site)
– analytics cookies, a subset of technical cookies which are used directly by the website manager to collect aggregated information on the number of visitors to the website and their visiting patterns;
– functional cookies, which allow users to navigate as a function of certain pre-determined criteria (for example language or products to be purchased) to improve the quality of service

Profiling Cookies
Profiling cookies are aimed at creating user profiles and are used to send advertisements in line with the preferences shown by the user during navigation on the internet. In order to employ profiling cookies users must provide prior and informed consent, which can be expressed by selecting the options “yes” or “no” in the table below.

Who handles cookies?

Cookies may be installed in the user’s computer by the manager (“publisher”) of the site that the user is visiting or by the managers of other websites (thirdparties) who install cookies by way of the sitepublisher.

The publisher of the visited website does not have direct control of third-party cookies and cannot manage them (they can neither directly install them nor cancel them). The user can however deal with these cookies through the settings of the browser using the procedures outlined below in the paragraph on Consensus.

For the description of the cookies used by Google Analytics you can use the link below to the third partysite.

How long do cookies last?

Cookies may be:

temporary or session cookies. These are used to temporarily archive information and allow actions to be linked during a specific session; they are removed from the computer when the browser is closed
permanent or persistent cookies. These are used to archive information, for example the name and password of a user so that the user does not have to type them in every time they visit a site. These remain on the computer even after a browser is closed.
